Don't feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy。 To the disappointment of many of my friends, I waited a long time to pick this book up。 I’m not sure why because now that I’ve read it, I don’t know what kept me from reading it sooner。 I’m sorry it took so long for me to jump on this bandwagon。 I can assure you that I am now firmly a fan of this series。This novel was my first read by Sarah J。 Maas, but it will not be the last。 I loved this book。 I loved this book so much that I w Don't feel bad for one moment about doing what brings you joy。 To the disappointment of many of my friends, I waited a long time to pick this book up。 I’m not sure why because now that I’ve read it, I don’t know what kept me from reading it sooner。 I’m sorry it took so long for me to jump on this bandwagon。 I can assure you that I am now firmly a fan of this series。This novel was my first read by Sarah J。 Maas, but it will not be the last。 I loved this book。 I loved this book so much that I watched Beauty and the Beast after reading it because I wanted more Beauty and the Beast content。 The Good:• A Court of Thorns and Roses is a Beauty and the Beast retelling。 It brought the retelling aspects to light with various personal twists from the author。 While it is a retelling, this book also felt very much like a fairytale。 The author managed to walk a line between light and dark very well。 • When I picked this book up, I was looking for something fun and entertaining to read。 This book was what I was looking for。 I had a great time reading this。 I just happened to be in the right mood for this type of story。 • I enjoyed all of the characters。 They all had their own personalities, and I liked seeing how all of the characters interacted with one another。 Their friendships and relationships were all pleasant to see unfold and support。 I especially think that Sarah J。 Maas wrote the banter between characters in a wonderful, organic way。 • The plot was carefully planned and portrayed。 I liked how the story continuously progressed。 The ending conflict was engaging for me, and the stakes got higher。 After that ending, I’m definitely interested in picking up the next book。• There are bits and pieces of information that the author scattered around in this book that I know will come up later in the series。 It makes me feel like the series is well-crafted。 I’m excited to see where it goes from here。 The Bad:• I don’t have anything negative to say about this one。Trigger warnings for A Court of Thorns and Roses: kidnapping, drugging, murder, violence 。。。more

So this book surprised me。 I thought everyone hyping this book up but I bet I won't like it。 Boy was I wrong。 I read through this extremely fast and found myself not able to put it down。 I am excited to see more from the other books and immediately ordered the 2nd one。 I was sucked into the world and could picture being in the world。 It's been a long time since reading made me excited again to get into more series。 So this book surprised me。 I thought everyone hyping this book up but I bet I won't like it。 Boy was I wrong。 I read through this extremely fast and found myself not able to put it down。 I am excited to see more from the other books and immediately ordered the 2nd one。 I was sucked into the world and could picture being in the world。 It's been a long time since reading made me excited again to get into more series。 。。。more

Can we talk about how much more screen time Lucien would have deserved?

Slow start but I understand she was building up the story。 Really driving the fact the Feyre and her family were STARVING and how much weight was on Feyre's shoulders。。After chapter 21, when Tamlin BIT her 😲👀 I was like, ok, I'm in! 🥵 haha。No but seriously。 I loved the way Tamlin and Feyre's relationship evolved。 I even like that her and Lucien got to a point of mutual understand and friendship。。I was so mad when she was sent home and she didn't say what was on her mind only to find out that if Slow start but I understand she was building up the story。 Really driving the fact the Feyre and her family were STARVING and how much weight was on Feyre's shoulders。。After chapter 21, when Tamlin BIT her 😲👀 I was like, ok, I'm in! 🥵 haha。No but seriously。 I loved the way Tamlin and Feyre's relationship evolved。 I even like that her and Lucien got to a point of mutual understand and friendship。。I was so mad when she was sent home and she didn't say what was on her mind only to find out that if she had。。。everything would have been different! I thought my days of reading fantasy fiction full of good-looking people was over but this new genre of books where the character is around my age (AGAIN) just said, “Hello, remember me?” with a sinister smile like Rhysand’s。Thoroughly enjoyed the beauty of this book。 Maas’ talent really shows through her descriptions of Prythia and the magical beauty of the characters。 Definitely going to continue reading this series!

I lovedddd this book。 I just finished it and I am speechless! Everything about this book is just perfect! The romance was everything that I could ask for。 I just loved it。

The ending of this book is really interesting, but I wish they spent more time at the plot of the end。 The beginning of this book feels too similar and predictable to the story of Beauty and the Beast。 However the last quarter of the book is really good and sets it up for later novels。

Emily Hanson

The first half seems like a Beauty & the Beast remake, but the second half is original and captivating。

I had heard soooo many good things about this book but it did not live up to it's legacy。 This book made me cringe and all of the characters were so bland, none were original or funny。 I'd recommend this book to people who like romance。 I had heard soooo many good things about this book but it did not live up to it's legacy。 This book made me cringe and all of the characters were so bland, none were original or funny。 I'd recommend this book to people who like romance。 。。。more
